Joshua P. Buckner

Buckner, Joshua Penland of Louisville passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at home. He was a member of Immanuel Methodist Church. He retired from ALCOA after 42 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Preceded in death by: Parents, Joshua & Laura Penland Buckner; Sisters, Grace Donaldson, Florence Kidd, Mae Counts; Brother, Henry Buckner; Wives, Emogene Gregory Buckner and Dolores Headrick Buckner. Survivors include: Wife of 23 years, Mary Buckner; Step-Daughters, Tammi Hodges & husband Doug of Maryville and Melissa Buckner Dunlap & husband Sammy of Knoxville; Grandchildren, Mason Evelyn Dunlap and Ashley Hope Hodges; Sister, Lois Buckner of Maryville; Special Friend, Quinn "Tater" Phelps of Louisville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2006, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Gaye King and Rev. Rob Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2006, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
