Josephine T. Peterson

Josephine T. Peterson, age 87, lost her short battle with lung cancer and passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family at her side June 18, 2013. Born March 15, 1926 in New York City, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Always upbeat, outgoing and friendly, she was known for her beautiful smile and stylish hats. She loved to bake and thrived on preparing cakes, pies, and cookies for family and friends. Her husband C. R. "Pete" Peterson predeceased her in May 2003. She is survived by her daughter, René Bourgeois and son-in-law Robert; son, Roy Peterson and daughter-in-law Stephanie. Grandchildren; Leah Gross, Andreá Bourgeois, Devon Peterson, Kurt Peterson, Arwen Peterson and Great-Grandchildren; Brandon Peterson, Sarah Gross, Tiger Lily Peterson, Elizabeth Gross, Lion Peterson-Goad, and Benjamin Gross. A memorial service will be conducted 23 June at the Morning View Village Chapel at 6:30 PM. An inurnment at the Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a future date.
