Joseph "Joe" H. Thacker

Joseph “Joe” H. Thacker, age 73, of Maryville, passed away late Friday, August 11, 2023 at the family home.  Joe was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church and was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force.  He is an Alcoa/Arconic retiree.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Rowena Thacker. Survivors include his wife, Kyong Hui Thacker; children, Shellie Harris and Billy Thacker; grandchildren, Robby Harris, Noel Rossbach, Emmett Thacker, and Tristan Thacker; brother, David Thacker.  The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Green and staff, and the whole Blount Memorial hospice team for their care, compassion, and respect.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2023 with a celebration of Joe’s life to follow at 2:00 PM in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Bill White, Rev.
