Joseph Stratton, Jr.

January 24, 1944 — November 9, 2006

Stratton Jr., Joseph Henry "JO JO" age 62 of Townsend, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a US Army Veteran and served his country with a tour in Vietnam in 1968-69 with the "Big Red 1." He was a member of Campground United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ota Mae Stratton. He was a very loving and caring person who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife Brenda Easter Stratton; father, Joe Stratton Sr.; sisters, Phyllis S. Keeler and Fonda Hollar both of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Chase, Brooke, Jeremy and Halley Coleman; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Easter of Lenoir City; brothers-in-law, Lynn Hollar of Newnan, GA and Chuck Easter of Friendsville; stepsons, David & Michael Coleman both of Lenoir City; nephew, Jim Keeler and wife, Lisa of Townsend; great-niece, CPL Courtney Keeler of Beaufort, SC; great-nephew, Cody Keeler and wife, Amanda; great-great-niece, Kayleigh Keeler of Townsend and a host of other relatives and dear friends; special pets, Little Bit and Precious. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2006, Trinity Chapel Smith Mortuary. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ervin Foster officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans or Campground United Methodist Church. Smith Mortuary, Maryville handling arrangements, 865-983-1000.
