Joseph A. Marek, Sr.

Marek Sr., Joseph A. (Joe) age 63 of Maryville, formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away Friday, October 26, 2007 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center from complications of cancer. He was born in East Islip, Long Island, New York He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served aboard the USS Intrepid. He was a plumber for over 40 years and fifteen of those years were in Maryville. He was hard working and fought so hard and was loved very much by all. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Frances Marek; children, Joe Jr., Emily and Angela; 3 grandchildren, Cookie, Mikey & Mariah. He will be missed so desperately and we all love him so much. This is the testament to the decent man he was and the hard working life he led. He was truly a good and loving husband, father and grandfather. May the love and protection of our Lord keep him safe and happy. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2007, Smith Trinity Chapel. The family & friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
