Joseph Clifton Culver

Joseph Clifton (Cliff) Culver age 79 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 peacefully at his home. Born October 20, 1932 in Rockmart, Georgia, later moving to Maryville, TN, he served four years in the US Navy and retired after nearly 36 years with the Federal Aviation Administration. He loved his dogs and was loyal in attendance to the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Zed & Annie Mary Culver. Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Regina (Johnson) Culver. They would have celebrated 37 years of marriage in September. Also survived by his children, Mark & (Cindi) Culver and Chris & (Kathy) Culver all of Memphis; grandson, Austin Culver; sister, Barbara Nichols & husband, Robert; several nieces & nephews; special friend, John Mathews. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, Monday, August 6, 2012 at Maryville Church of Christ. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with Minister Jonathan Jones officiating. Family & friends will assemble at 6:00 pm EST, Monday at Granny Walker Cemetery, Soddy Daisy, TN for graveside service & interment. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
