Jonathan Lee Rushing , age 25 of Maryville, Tn. passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 . He lived with his parents, Philip and Susan Rushing, and his two younger sisters, Maria and Carmen Rushing. He was born in Jackson, MS and moved with his family to Oxford, MS, Austin, TX, El Paso, TX, Louisville KY and to Maryville. He was a graduate of William Blount High School. After high school he attended Pellissippi briefly. He was employed at DENSO Manufacturing when he was injured in a 4 - wheeler accident on November 6, 2004 that left him a quadriplegic. Prior to his accident he loved to participate in many athletic endeavors but especially loved soccer. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vester and Pauline Harrison, paternal grandparents, Karl and Wilma GeneRushing, Aunt and Uncle, Peggy and Stan Roberts of Hollandale, MS. He is survived by his parents, Philip and Susan Rushing, his sisters, Maria and Carmen Rushing, his lap dog and faithful companion, Kleetus, maternal aunts and uncles, and cousins. He will be cremated and made into a diamond for his mother per his wishes. He was a precious and beloved son, brother and good friend. To his friends who called him and saw him after his accident and in the time afterward, the family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude: Hunter Dempsey, Joshua Combs, Matt Hayes and Jay Riggs were his loyal friends to the end.
