John K. Young, Jr, age 88, of Louisville, TN passed away April 25, 2020. John served his country as a pilot in the Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, and received the Purple Heart. As a pilot, he broke the speed of sound by flying the fastest plane in the world. He was an avid hunter and skeet shooter. He was also a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents John K. Sr. and Margaret Lee Young. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bobbie Young, daughters Patty (Robert) Grodner, Pam (Scott) Bridges and Sharon Reilly, grandchildren Delaney Reilly, Corey Grodner, Kelsey Grodner and Emily Story, and sisters Peggy Patterson, Betty Young, Rachel Hensley and Linda Harris. There will be a private graveside service at Grandview Cemetery.
