John L. Ward Jr.

John L. Ward Jr. age 47 of Maryville, TN passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Edgewood Primitive Baptist Church and an avid sports fan especially a fan of the VOLS. John was a member of the “Twisted Pistons” Car Club. He was always happy, had a great personality, and was a total inspiration to all who knew him. He was previously employed at Denso and Rockford Manufacturing and coached upward basketball. Preceded in death by: Sister, Jennifer Lynn Ward; Grandparents, Charles and Ida Faye Goodson and Henry & Pearl Ward; Aunts, Judy McDonald and June Gribble; Uncles, Charles Goodson Jr. and Woodrow Ward; Cousin, Mitchell Gribble . Survivors include: Daughters, Sierra Ward, Emily Rader & husband Trey, and Baylee Ward; Grandson, John Henry Connatser; Soon to be Grandson, Malachi Rader; Parents, John & Mary Ward; Brother, Jason Ward; Very Special Nieces, Savannah Lynn Ward and Sophia Ward. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Arnold Whitehead officiating.
