John (Butch) Steele

John (Butch) Steele age 73 of Seymour passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. He was a graduate of Porter High school and a member of Knob Creek Baptist Church. Butch retired from ALCOA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ruby Steele; brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Louise Steele; sister-in-law, Martha Williams. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Steele; daughter, Sherri Slagle; grandson, Corey Slagle; granddaughter, Ashley Long Pierce; great grandson, Sidney Peirce; son-in-law, Randy Slagle; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kathy Steele; brother, John Latham; sister, Angie (Jim) Hutton; brother-in-law, Bill Williams; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 1:00 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Edward King officiating.
