John "Gene" Sloan

John “Gene” Sloan, age 94 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the family home. Gene was a long-time employee of Blount County Schools and retired as Principal from Rocky Branch Elementary School. Survived by wife of 64 years, Norma Jean Sloan; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Donna Sloan; grandson, Jordan Sloan; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Joan Sloan; sisters and brother-in-law, Maxine Duncan, Wilma and Don Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
