John Robinette, age 69, a lifelong resident of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his home with his family. John was a graduate of Everett High School and a member of Everett Hills Baptist and Alcoa First Baptist Church. He was retired from Alcoa with 38 years of service at the South Plant and was a member of the 25-Year Club. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Security Agency serving during Vietnam in Kassel, Germany. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Survivors include: Adoring Wife of 19 years and Best Friend, Melissa Robinette; Sons & Daughter-in-law, Michael W. Robinette of Maryville and Jeremiah & Sharley Stith of Clarksville, TN; Daughter & Son-in-law, Jessica and Ben Belitz of Maryville; Grandchildren, Gabriella and Samuel Stith; Sister & Brother-in-law, Sherry J. & Donald "Buddy" Howard of Villa Rica, GA; special nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. A Celebration of John's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Doug Sager officiating.
