John Huston “Mad Dog�? O’Connor age 82 of Maryville went to meet his Lord on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. John was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Maryville, TN and was a soul winner. He was also a founder of The Bus Ministry Program. John retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by: Parents, Sam & Carrie O’Connor; Son, Timothy Gibson; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: Wife of 34 years, Mary Frances O’Connor; Children, John O’Connor & wife Tiffany, Cindy O’Connor, Linda Rice, Andrew Gibson, Thomas Gibson, Pamela Lindsay, Cheryl Gibson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Tom Hatley officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 27, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery.
