John Wilburn Nichols

John Wilburn Nichols age 63 of Walland passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009. He was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church, a veteran of US Marine Corp and retired from ALCOA with 36 years of service. He was also a member of the TN Country Dancers Association. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Nichols; mother, Edna Nichols Branton; sister, Wilma Jean Anthony; step-father, Tildon Branton. Survivors include his son, Eric Nichols of Paris, TN; daughter & son-in-law, Misty Nichols Yeager & Eric Yeager of Knoxville; 2 grandchildren, Chase & Mason; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jim & Roxanne Nichols of GA, Ralph & Liz Nichols and George & Vivian Nichols all of Walland; sisters & brother-in-law, Arletta & Alex Durr of Walland, Phyllis Reed of Nashville; brother-in-law, Jim Anthony of FL; several nieces & nephews; special friends, June Hall, Don Gribble, Royce Pratt, Dan & Joe Robinson. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm with Rev. Grant Rimback officiating. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery.
