John D. Murnane

John D. Murnane age 70 of Maryville passed away Thursday, March 05, 2009 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. He was of the Baptist Faith and served as a Military Policeman with the United States Army. He retired from ALCOA and was a member of their 25-Year Club. John was owner and operator on Shannondale Stables and had a deep passion for working on his farm. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Thomas & Alma Murnane; Son, Mike Murnane; Brother, Collin Michael Murnane. Survivors include: Wife of 34 years, Edie Murnane; Sons & Daughters-in-law, John & Andrea of Kingsport, TN and Dale & Amanda of Maryville; Son, Shane of Maryville; Grandchildren, Zack & Lauren Murnane; Brothers, Thomas Murnane and Joseph Murnane both of Lakeland, FL. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
