John Richard Jack Dee

John R. (Jack) Dee of Maryville, Tennessee, died June 4, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 16, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of the late Delelus Dee. He was one of four sons. He graduated from St. Mary of the Mount, Pittsburgh in 1945. He married Winifred Emily Lally on October 7, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines during World War II. He retired after 28 years from JM Foster, Inc. as Vice President/Owner. He is preceded in death by brothers Raymond, Luke and David. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Winifred (Winnie) Dee; daughters Lynda (Dee) Sugg, Lisa Dee and Jacquelyn (Dee) Rutherford and her husband Tom Rutherford; grandchildren: Sarah and Turney Sugg; Evan and Hannah Thibodeau; John, Alex and Katie Rutherford. Viewing is scheduled for Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 5:00 PM - 7:00PM at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, TN. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday June 6, 2011 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with graveside services to follow at Grandview Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Ed Gilbert; Turney Sugg; Evan Thibodeau; Tom, John and Alex Rutherford.
