John J. Ingram, Jr.

June 25, 1922 — July 1, 2010

John J. Ingram, Jr. age 88 of Maryville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 1, 2010. He was born June 25, 1922 and was retired from ALCOA for 31 years. He was a longtime member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and was a 33rd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Ingram, Sr. and Minnie Billings Ingram; sisters, Madge Ingram Fuller and Nancy Ingram Emert. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, his “Sweetie�?, Fern Hines Ingram. Sons, Dr. John J. Ingram, III and wife Patricia, Joe S. Ingram & wife Teresa all of Maryville; grandchildren, John J. Ingram, IV and wife Jennifer of Maryville, Jennifer Ingram Wackerhagen and husband Jason of Maryville, Amanda Ingram of New York, Meredith Ingram Rigsby and husband Joshua of Walland; 2 great-grandchildren, Taylor Jo Wackerhagen and John J. Ingram, V both of Maryville; sister, Sue Ingram Hedrick and husband Edward of Seymour; several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. The family would like to convey their sincerest thanks to the kind nurses and staff of Colonial Hills Nursing Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service at 5:00 pm with Rev. Howard Oliver, Rev. Jerry Mantooth, Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. Family & friends will assemble for Interment at Clark’s Grove Cemetery following the service.
