John Luther "Bobby" Hunter Jr.

John Luther “Bobby” Hunter, Jr., age 89, of Maryville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 18, 2023.  He was a graduate of Everett High School, class of 1955. Bobby retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of honorable service.  He retired again after 16 years of service with Aloca Aluminum Company. Bobby was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, serving as deacon and head usher during his 48 year membership.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John Luther Hunter, Sr. and Daisy Ethel Hunter; infant daughter, Jaynelle Hunter.  Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Gaynelle Hunter; son, Brent Hunter and partner Mary Everett; daughter, Angela Hunter Lemanski (Bruce); grandchildren, Addie, Johnny, Erin, Cindy; great-grandchildren, Mariah, Johnny III, Kayleigh, Rozlynn, Levi, Barrett. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow officiated by Rev.
