John Edward Hedrick age 94 of Seymour went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong member of Eusebia Presbyterian Church and retired from Alcoa Aluminum after 42 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Ed was born on the Hedrick Farm in Seymour where he bred Polled Hereford cattle for over 55 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the 9th Armored Division during World War II and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. Preceded in death by: Brother, Robert "Bob" Hedrick; Sister, Jean Hedrick Mosley. Survivors include: Wife of 65 years, Sue Ingram Hedrick; Son & Daughter-in-law, Lynn Edward & Sherry Hedrick; Grandchildren, Aaron Hedrick and Meghan Hedrick all of Seymour; Special friend, Al Leitch; Special Caregivers, Rose Webb and Lou Dempsey; Special Pet, Major. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Eusebia Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Dwyn Mounger officiating.
