John H. Davis

John H. Davis of Townsend, formerly of Mason, OH, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. John was born in Blue Diamond, KY, on April 13, 1940. He worked for Continental Baking Company for thirty-five years without missing a day. He was an active member of Camp Ground UMC where he served in many capacities. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Nannie Davis; three brothers, James Homer, Robert, and Billy Ray and a sister, Pauline. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; one sister, Lorene Boyd; sons, John A. Davis (Joan) and Richard B. Davis; daughter, B. Robin McKeehan (Ron); grandchildren, Jon and Amber Davis (Robby), Mallory and Meredith McKeehan, and Elizabeth Ann Marie Davis; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Atkins, Lynda Kay Carpenter (Ron), Jennylee Phelps, and many nieces and nephews all of whom loved him a lot, but God loved him more. A memorial service will be held at Camp Ground UMC, Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. It was John's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Camp Ground UMC, PO Box 236, Townsend, TN. 37882.
