John Eugene Hanley

John Eugene Hanley, 67, of Maryville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by loved ones, on October 31, 2013 at UT Hospital. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Army. He was the retired owner of Hanley Builders. John was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, which he loved dearly. He was a loving husband, and devoted father and Papaw, who will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by: Parents, John H. Hanley & Ruth Hanley; Sisters, Johnnie Ruth Hanley & Wanda F. Davis; Brother, Larry L. Hanley. Survivors include: Wife, Patsy Spires Hanley; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Johnny & Michelle Hanley, Brian & Kristi Hanley, Danny & Ericka Hopson, and David Hanley; Daughter & Son-in-law, Michelle & Sammy Murray; Sisters, Carolyn Headrick, Bobby Hamby, Shirley Hanley Gentry & Longtime Companion, Larry Jackson, and Mildred & Bob Green; Brother-in-law, Bob Davis; 11 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Grayson Garrett, Rev. Donnie Dixon and Rev. Benny MacLemore officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
