John Ray Guffey

John R. “Big John” Guffey age 66 of Maryville passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. John enjoyed golf and cooking, and was employed at Bearden Banquet Hall. Preceded in death by his father, Roy Guffey; mother, Hettie Allen Guffey; brother, Fred Guffey; sister, Stella Guffey Rogers. Survivors include his wife, Donna Whiting Guffey; daughter, Amanda Rhea Guffey; brothers, Edward Guffey, Virgil Guffey, and Bobby Guffey; sisters, Barbara Blankenship, and Sandra Hudgins; nieces, Audrey and Jesse Reagan and their children, Damien Nance, Trenton and Ally Francis, and Semyah and Lexy Whitted; and a large extended family and a host of friends. The Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the Smith Chapel followed by a Memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Bill Clabough officiating.
