John Daniel Burnett

John Daniel Burnett, age 77, passed away at home on December 11, 2016. He served in the United States Army as a Communication Cryptographer Specialist, and retired from Rohm and Haas, Knoxville after 37 years of service. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God, Farragut. He was born in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late Rev. Dewey & Elma Bridges Burnett. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Amanda Burnett; Brothers, Samuel Herbert, and George Dewey, Jr., and Arvilee Burnett; sisters, Betty Beatrice West, Alice Marlynn, Mary Lou Barron, & Angeline Joice Hayes. Survived by: Wife, Jone Burnett; Sons, Christopher Burnett, Rodney Burnett (Karen), Dustin Young (Alyson); Daughters, Heather Young Richards (Maj. Jay); Grandchildren, Anna Shalain Burnett, Christian Micah Burnett, Cori Richards, Cian Richards, Lynen Young, Joey DeRosa, and Sophia DeRosa; Great-Grandchildren, Lainey Miser & Easton Richards; several nieces and nephews.
