John Noah Baxter

March 9, 1928 — February 13, 2009

John Noah Baxter, age 80, of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. John enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1946 after graduating from Friendsville High School. Upon his discharge John went to Cinncinatti Ohio, where he attended the University of Cincinatti. Mr. Baxter retired from Chrysler Defense and was a member of the International Order of Foresters. He was preceded in death by his 1st Wife, Olga Malesko Baxter and his parents, Sam and Jewell Baxter. He is survived by his wife, Betty Donaldson Baxter of Louisville; children, Linda M. Baxter and Andrew Bandola of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Lori A. Baxter and Shannon Linginfelter of Friendsville, Wayne A. and Kim Baxter of Friendsville; grandchildren, Thomas Bedra II , Michael Bedra , Rachel Baxter, Grayson Linginfelter, Noah Linginfelter; brother and sister-in-law, Don E. and Billie Baxter of Friendsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Charles Cox of Maryville, Roma and Melvin Bridges of Friendsville, Genny and Tom Begley of Maryville, Melba and Jack Bruce of Maryville. Betty's Children and Oodles of other family and friends. The family would like to invite all friends and family to gather for a time of good memories and good food at 1:00 pm on Monday prior to the service at 876 N. Union Grove Rd. Friendsville. A celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, February, 16, 2007 at 6:30 pm. in the Trinity chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm. prior to the service at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville.
