Joe B. Sutton, Jr. born September 29, 1935 passed away February 16 2020 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church and a proud graduate of Everett High School – Class of 1953. Joe retired from the Alcoa Aluminum Company where he was a machinist specialist and a member of the 25 year club. He enjoyed being a member of Ronnie Phelps Sunday School Class, attending his yearly high school class reunions, fishing, farming, and raising cattle. His pride and joy was his two grandsons. Preceded in death by: father, Joe B. Sutton, Sr.; mother, Hazel Tucker Sutton; father-in-law, Jack Lambert; mother-in-law, Mae Key Lambert. He is survived by: wife, Jean Lambert Sutton; son, Steve (Ramona) Sutton; daughter, Cindy (Keith) Long; grandsons, Luke & Levi Long; sister, Joyce Duggan; special friends, Frank & Frances Carpenter; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Steve Sutton, Luke Long, Levi Long, Keith Long, Todd Duggan, and Hayden Smith. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Guider and Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Grandview Cemetery. All who knew him are invited to attend.
