Joe H. Stratton, Sr.

Joseph H. Stratton, Sr. 88 of Townsend, TN, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2007 in Newnan, Georgia with his two daughters by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ota Mae Regan Stratton; son, Joe H. Stratton Jr.; parents, Claude C. Stratton and Minnie Cameron Stratton; four brothers, Tommy, Bud, Claude and Harry; one sister, Helen Webb. Joe was member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church. He retired from Alcoa and was a member of the Alcoa 25 year club. Survivors include: children, Phyllis S. Keeler, Newnan, GA.; Fonda S. Hollar and husband Lynn, Newnan, GA; and daughter in-law, Brenda C. Stratton, Townsend, TN. One grandson, Jim Keeler and wife Lisa of Townsend. Two great grandchildren, Cody Keeler and wife Amanda of Townsend and Courtney K. Nagel and husband Ryan of Beau ford, S.C. One Great- Great-Grandchild, Kayleigh Keeler daughter of Cody and Amanda; Sisters, Minnie Foster, Kingsport TN, Margaret Waters, Louisville, TN, Janie Birchfield, Maryville, TN, and Betty White, Alcoa, TN. A host of nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Joe. Joe had lived in Townsend all his life and was a friend to all. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Campground United Methodist Church in Townsend. Interment will follow at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution's can be made to the Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church, 7322 Old Tuckaleechee Road, Townsend, TN 37882 or Campground United Methodist Church, PO Box 236, Townsend, TN 37882.
