Joe Rorex, Jr.

Rorex Jr., Joe age 83 of Louisville passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He retired from the University of Tennessee and was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. He was a member of George Washington Masonic Lodge #181, Mary Blount Chapter #133 Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by: Father, Joe Rorex Sr.; Mother, Ethel Rorex. Survivors include: Wife, Myrtle Smith Rorex; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Melvin and Hazel Jordan of New Martinsville, WV and Francis and Mildred Smith of Louisville, TN; several nieces and nephews; Special cousins, Wanda Vanosdale of Lenoir City, TN, Mary Ruth Beeler and Ila Perdue of Knoxville, TN; several other cousins. Graveside service and interment will be at 3:30 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating.
