Joe G. Fisher age 80 of Alcoa, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 21, 2011 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church serving in the choir and as a former Sunday school teacher. Joe was a Veteran of the United States Army during Korea. He retired with 38 years of service as Regional Manager with Frito Lay. Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather who was deeply loved. He will be missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Julius & Molly Fisher; Brothers, Wayne & Lloyd Fisher; Sisters, Jeanette Flinchum and Shelby Hall. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Carnese B. Fisher; Sons, Jonathan Fisher & wife Leigh Ann of Maryville, David Fisher of Hampton, VA, Dennis Fisher and Darryl Fisher both of Ringgold, GA; Daughter, Gayla Hatcher & husband David of Maryville; Ten Grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren; One Step-Grandchild; Two Step-Great-Grandchildren; Brother & Sister-in-law, Mike & Marsha Fisher; and a host of family and friends. Memorial service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry DeVault officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Joe’s name to your favorite charity.
