Joe Allen Davis

Joe Allen Davis, Local businessman and founder/owner of Davis Printing Company of Maryville passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Mr. Davis was well known in the Blount business and political community serving many of the office holders and community businesses’ printing needs. Joe was a veteran of the Army National Guard and Past Master of the New Providence Masonic Lodge. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping. Joe was preceded in death by wife Eva Mae Davis, Parents, Clarence and Irene Davis, and brother Cecil Davis. Joe is survived by his wife Sandra Davis; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Johnny Sweet, Janice and Randy Hall, Traci and Paul McLemore; brother and sister-in-law James and Lois Davis; Grandchildren; Jonathan Sweet, Shannon Campbell, Tabitha Roy Bull, Adam Wheeler, Dalton Wheeler, Katie Wheeler, Lillian McLemore, and Noah McLemore. Great grandchildren Madison & Laurel Campbell, Lorien Sweet, Hope Roy, and Diezel Bull; Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday, July 5, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service at 2:00 pm with grandson, Jonathan Sweet officiating. Interment will follow at Clark’s Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Providence Lodge.
