Jody Isaac Munsey, age 43 of Maryville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was born and raised in Richlands, Virginia where he graduated from Richlands High School in 1997. He furthered his education by graduating from Tusculum University in 2001 and Lincoln Memorial University in 2004. Jody was a respected and dedicated employee at AGI for over twenty years. While his work was a huge part of his life, there was nothing more important to Jody than his family. He was an amazing husband and loving father to his three kids, Haylee, Hudson, and Harper. He had a special bond with each of them. He was a quiet, but constant supporter of Haylee’s volleyball endeavors. He and Hudson spent countless hours fishing. Harper was his little princess and had her daddy completely wrapped around her little finger. Not to be outdone by her kids, LeeAnn was the love of Jody’s life and he did anything and everything he could for her. Jody loved quietly yet fiercely. As a family, the Munsey crew loved the water. Jody found great joy in their days on the lake and weeks on Anna Maria Island. If they were not on the water, the family loved being outdoors hiking and spending weekends and holidays on the family farm in Virginia. Providing for his family and loving them well are gifts that will forever be treasured by them. In the rare moments that Jody took for himself, you could find him in his personal happy place, the golf course. Last, but certainly not least, is Jody’s faith in Jesus. Jody was a partner at Revolution Church. Jody led his family well spiritually and often sacrificed his time volunteering and serving the community. While all of us that love Jody are grieving the hole that he has left, he is worshipping at the feet of Jesus. He is at peace. He is whole. He is home. Jody would want you to know that Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life and that no man comes to the Father except through Me. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Louis Carlton “L.C” Munsey and Irma Berger Munsey; maternal grandparents, Mildred Honaker Miller and Rev. Jessie Miller. Survived by wife, LeeAnn; children, Haylee, Hudson, and Harper; parents, Tim and Diann Munsey; brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Susan Munsey; niece, Emma; nephew, Ethan.
