JoAnn DeMarcus

JoAnn DeMarcus, age 76, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2017. JoAnn was born December 9, 1940, in Knoxville, TN. In 1956 she married the love of her life Mack and never left his side for any extended period of time until his passing. She retired from the Dade County school system in 1986. Upon retiring, she and Mack moved back home to Tennessee to be closer to family. She was the true matriarch of the family. She touched so many lives over the years and always made everyone feel part of the DeMarcus family. She was preceded in death by: Loving Husband of 60 years, Mack DeMarcus; Father, Robert McDaniel; Mother, Kate McDaniel; Sister, Patsy McDaniel. She is survived by: Sons, Jeff Demarcus & wife Susan and Mike DeMarcus & wife Rhonda; Daughter, Lisa Jones & husband Todd; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A memorial service will be at 1:30 PM.
