Joan C. Bailey, age 85 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Morningview Transitional Care of Maryville. Joan was born in Akron, OH and was retired as Head Teller with Haven Federal Bank of Winterhaven, FL after many years of service. She moved to the Maryville area after retirement and was a longtime member of Smoky View Baptist Church. Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles W. Bailey and her daughter, Cheryl A. Evans. She is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law, Steve and Debbie Bailey of Maryville; Grandchildren, Joshua Evans, Ashley Evans, and Jessica Bailey; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Peggy Greer of Rickman, TN, and Jerry and Judy Greer of Cookville, TN; Sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Strang, and Marilyn and Lewis Mapes, all of Ohio; Many Nieces, Nephews, and other family; Special friends, Carmen Walker of Orlando, FL, Jeanette Bolick of Winterhaven, FL, Chris Bennett of Maryville, Betty Brunton of Ohio, and Luke and Oneida Jerrell of Waynesville, NC; A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mark Martin officiating. The Interment will follow in the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
