Jimmy Lynn Shelton

Jimmy Lynn Shelton age 44 of Maryville. His life was tragically taken away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Jimmy touched the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to know him and was well known for his bear hugs. He was an avid member of Knox Rockets and was well known as the “Wheelie King” that loved laying his knee on the ground. His favorite sport was disc golf and he took great pride in his job as a supervisor at Costco. Jimmy was a very kind and patient person who loved to help and teach. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Survivors include: loving partner of 17 years, Dawn; daughter, Miranda; son, Michael; daughter, Marissa; grandchildren, Makenzi (Pop Pop’s Moonpie) and Ember. mother, Debbie Shoemaker; father, Lynn Shelton and his wife Patsy; step-sister’s, Kasey and Summer; grandparents, Helen Shelton and Barbara & Ken Smelter; best buddies, Scott, Josh, and Charlie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and numerous family members. Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:30 PM with Jim Safewright officiating.
