Jimmy Norton Peterson, Sr.

Jimmy Norton Peterson Sr. passed away peacefully at home and went to be with his heavenly father at the age of 84. He was born May 21, 1931 in Maryville. Jim served 31 years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District. After retirement, he lived in Pleasant View, TN and enjoyed farming, cattle, fishing, and hunting. He was preceded in death by his second born son, Jeffrey Allen; Mother & Father, Allen & Pearl Justice Peterson; Brothers, Reuben & Jack; Sister, Sally Talbott. Survivors include: His Loving Wife of 60 years, Alma June Boring Peterson; Son, Jimmy Norton Peterson, Jr.; Brother, Bill Peterson; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Mark Martin officiating.
