Jimmy Ray McDonald age 62 of Maryville passed away Monday, April 3, 2017. He was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. Jimmy retired from Norfolk Southern Railways after 38 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Leroy and Betty McDonald. Survivors include: Wife of 41 years, Karla McDonald; Son & Daughter-in-law, Scott & Jennifer McDonald of Chattanooga; Daughters, Amanda McDonald-Vincent & husband Chris of Maryville, Andrea McDonald of Maryville, and Arika McDonald Lowe & husband Daniel of Virginia; 11 grandchildren that were the joys of his life; Brother & Sister-in-law, Charles (Ronnie) & Wanda McDonald of Rockford; Sister & Brother-in-law, Janice & Freddy Martin of Maryville; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. Rex Everett officiating.
