Jim Allen

Jim (JL) Allen age 79 of Alcoa passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at home surrounded by family. He was a member of Maryville Church of Christ. He retired from Equifax with 40 years of service and retired from the United States Army and Air National Guard. Jim was an avid golfer and loved to garden. He delivered Meals on Wheels for 10 years. Preceded in death by: Parents, Virgil & Pauline (Toomey) Allen. Survivors include: Wife of 54 years, Betty Allen; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Greg & Karen Allen of Kingsport and Mark & Beth Allen of Townsend; Daughter, Jama Allen and Christine Mullan of Knoxville; Grandchildren, Andrew & wife Mallory, Ben, Hannah, Brad and Kasey Allen; Brother, Ray Allen of GA; Sisters, Phyllis Story of GA, Elizabeth Householder of Alcoa, and Linda Miller of GA; many beloved nieces and nephews. JL will be missed by his family and friends including 1953 classmates of Alcoa High School. Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Maryville Church of Christ with Minister Jonathan Jones II officiating.
