Jill Spies Page, age 50, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. She graduated from Castle High School in Newburgh, IN and received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Indiana State University in Evansville. She joined the Air Force in 1985 and achieved the rank of Lt. Col. as a Supply Officer. During her tenure, she was the Air Force's Junior Supply Officer of the Year and received the Badger F. Johnson Award as the Air Force's Most Outstanding Supply Office. As Commander of the 31st Supply Squadron at Aviano air Base. Italy, her squadron was selected as the Air Force's best. She also received a Master of Science degree in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. After retirement in 2005, she focused her energy on being a wife, mother, and servant at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by: Mother & Father, Larry & Carol Spies. Survivors include: Husband, Jerry; Daughter, Lydia; Sister, Holly A. King of Dale, IN; many dear friends. Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Louisville, TN with Rev. Becky Smithey officiating. A reception and receiving of friends will follow at 12:00 Noon.
