Jessie R. Martin

Martin, Jessie R. (Whitehead) age 84 of Maryville passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Asbury Place. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and retired from Blount Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aid. Preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Thelma Whitehead; husband, James Ervil Martin Sr. and brother, Earl Whitehead. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Ervil Martin Jr. and wife Pat, Gary Martin and wife Christy; daughter, Kathy Martin; grandchildren, Missy and husband Brett Baer, Jamey and wife Darla Martin; great grandchildren, Haley Baer, Brianna and James Martin IV, and Devan Russell; sister, Margaret Martin and sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Claude Boring; sister-in-law, Agnes Reagan; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be at 7:00 pm. Monday, February 22, 2010 with Rev. Carl White officiating. The interment will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery. The visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 pm on Monday prior to the service.
