Jessie Lorene Hester Burks age 85 of Memphis, TN passed away Thursday July 20, 2017. Mrs. Burks was born and raised in Randolph County, Alabama, the only child of Seabron and Jessie Pearl Hester. She and her husband Tommy Burks made their home in Alabama, Texas and Tennessee. Lorene was a bookkeeper and homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano, her church, playing games and flower arranging. Preceded in death by: Husband, Tommy Hugh Burks. Survived by: Children, Sidney & Tammy Burks of Goodlettsville, TN, Scott & Marcia Burks of St. Cloud, Florida, and Sharon & Don Ray of Memphis, TN; Grandchildren, Caitlin Burks, Brent Burks, Ashley Burks, Whitney Burks Good, Drew Ray, Haley Ray, Wil Ray, Carlee Ray and Abby Ray. A private family graveside service will be held Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, TN on Thursday, July, 27, 2017.
