Jerry Wayne Robertson

May 3, 1936 — July 5, 2016

Jerry Wayne Robertson, age 80, passed away peacefully at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home, Knoxville TN on July 5, 2016. Jerry was a graduate of Newbern HS then proudly served our country in the Air Force, National Security Agency. Jerry faithfully attended Laurel Bank Baptist Church and enjoyed communicating with the world using his ham radio, traveling, camping, boating, and wintering in Florida with dear friends from all over the USA. He was preceded in death by: parents, Alvin & Dovie Robertson; and brother, Carlton Robertson. Jerry is survived by: adoring wife of 52 years, Barbara (Anderson) Robertson; daughters, Christy Peters (Shane) of Raleigh NC and Carla Rafferty (Andy) of Walland, TN; granddaughters, Jessica Rafferty, Victoria Peters and Brittney Peters. The family is thankful for the loving care received from the staff at Ben Atchley Veterans Home, the volunteers & staff at New Providence Adult Day Out & Foothills Adult Enrichment Center. The compassion shown to Jerry and family was very much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer's TN, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, www.alztennessee.org.
