Jerry M. “Jer Bob�? Henschel of Louisville, formerly of Fullerton, California, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. He was the son of the late Ralph and Maria Herbst Henschel of North Hollywood, California. Jerry was born September 2, 1947, in Santa Monica, California. He attended Grant High School in North Hollywood and Washington Bible College in Lanhum, Maryland. He also earned a bachelor of science degree in applied management from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. He was employed by the Panasonic Corporation in Cypress, California, for 25 years before retiring to Maryville, where he was a member of Maryville Evangelical Church. He is survived by his wife Genie Henschel of Louisville, daughter Jennica Henschel of Beaverton, Oregon, son Jonathan Henschel of California, brother Michael Henschel of Van Nuys, California, and sister Judy Robertson of Valley Village, California. Also, stepdaughters Patty Clark (Scott) of Gilbert, South Carolina, and Cathy Zappone of Castro Valley, California, and stepson Donald Zappone (Connie) of Anaheim, California. Also, granddaughters Elizabeth and Katherine Price of Castro Valley, California, Caroline Clark of Gilbert, South Carolina, and Natalie and Stephanie Zappone of Anaheim, California. The family will welcome visitors at Smith Funeral Home in Maryville on Saturday, January 16, from 5-6 p.m. The funeral will be held Sunday, January 17, at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service at 3 p.m. Jerry will be laid to rest at Eden Memorial Park Cemetery in Mission Hills, California. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the Deacons Fund at Maryville Evangelical Church, 3715 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804.
