Jerry R. Brock, age 81, of Louisville passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Select Specialty Fort Sanders. Jerry put in a long hard fight, but our Lord called him home to rest. A member of Everett Hills Baptist Church, he was a man of God, family, and had a deep love for his children and grandchildren. “Pap” was a loyal supporter of his grandchildren’s events and activities. Jerry was the proud owner of Coiffures by Brock. He was an avid fisherman, fan of Elvis, and loved to “cuss” the VOLS. His hobby later in life was scratching lottery tickets. Jerry’s humorous comments and phrases will be remembered always. He was preceded in death by his dad, Bud Brock; mother, Ethleen Wilson; sister, Cheri Brock; sisters-in-law, Aliene Raper and Linda Morgan; brother-in-law, Derrill Huffstetler; parents-in-law, Millard and Zola Morgan. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Brock; daughter and son-in-law, Penny Brock Garrett and Jay; son and daughter-in-law, Terry Brock and Amy; grandchildren, Zoebeth Nelson and Reece, Oakley Garrett, Kelby Brock and Kaysi, and Tate Brock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordon Raper, Gene and Peggy Morgan, Hobert Morgan, Mary Huffstetler, Reed and Karen Morgan, Charles and Becky Morgan, and Johnny and Wheatie Morgan; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice in memory of Jerry. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, what would have been his 82nd birthday, at Grandview Cemetery Pavilion. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30 pm with Katie Morgan-Harper officiating. Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com
