Jeana L. Courtney of Maryville passed away Monday, June 20, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was 67. The youngest child of Arthur Graves and Inez Tipton-Graves, Jeana grew up in Takoma Park, MD. She moved to Maryville in the early 1970s, where she lived, loved, worked and raised her children. She will be remembered by family and friends as a beautiful, caring, sensitive and fragile soul. Jeana was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: sons Rick Courtney (Sandra) of Maryville and Brian Courtney (Brad) of Nashville; sister, Marsha Graves Hall (Wayne) of Maryville; brother, David Graves (Jeannie) of Frederick, MD; granddaughters Kyndra Courtney-Watson (Taylor) and Turner Courtney (Sean), all of Maryville; great-grandson, Rhett Watson; nephews John Lequire (Pam) of Maryville and Justin Graves (Jessica) of Frederick, MD; nieces Candie Hopkins of Johnson City and Jeana Olinger of Frederick, MD; step granddaughters Kaley McDonald (Thomas) and Courtneay Kellam (Luke), all of Maryville; as well as several cousins.
