J.E. Bales

J.E. Bales age 79 of Greenback passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 at U.T. Hospital. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he received the Silver Star & Distinguished Service Star. J.E. retired from Fruehauf. Preceded in death by: Wife, Gladys Bales; Brother, Isaac Bales; Sisters, Elizabeth Teets, Lona Everett, Mary Ruth Long. Survivors include: Daughter, June Newman of Maryville; Grandchildren, Luke Wilsford, Laura Russell, Nicole Huskey; Great-Grandchildren, Kyler, Jacob, Lucas, Kamron, Kaleb, and Sara; Brothers, Charles Bales of FL and George Bales of CA; Sister, Mary Sue Sherlin of Louisville; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating.
