J.C. “Tommy�? Mason age 80 of Maryville passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at the family home. He retired from State of Tennessee Highway Department and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by: Son, Scott Edward Mason; Parents, William T. Mason Sr. & Delia; Brothers, William T. “Junior�? & Franklin “Sug�? Mason; Sister, Elenor Benshoff. Survivors include: Wife, Betty (Sullivan) Mason; Daughter & Son-in-law, Amy & Scott Orr of Maryville; Daughter, Jenny Mason; Grandchildren, Katie Mason, Brittney Swicegood, and Tyler Johnson; Great-Grandchildren, Madison Long and Mason Jones; Brother & Sister-in-law, Donnie & Kay Mason of Maryville. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Garner officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
