Janice M. Claybaugh Clouser Sudrow

June 22, 1922 — November 21, 2009

Janice M. Claybaugh Clouser Sudrow, age 87, formerly of Erie, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on November 21, 2009 after a long and valiant battle with respiratory disease. Mrs. Sudrow recently moved to beautiful East Tennessee to reside with her daughter and son-in-law, Noelle and Thomas Dean in Greenback. Janice was a dynamic and extraordinary woman of great strength and creative talents. Prior to her retirement, she was a designer at Oldach’s Interiors, of Erie, for thirty-five years. Preceded in death by her first husband of fifty years, Byron R. Clouser, infant daughter Renee Lynn Clouser, her parents Ormond Parker and Ethel Claybaugh, sister Lucille Whitney, and brother David Claybaugh. Also, her second husband, Ronald Sudrow of Erie and Wilmington and great grandson Steven Farkasovsky. She is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Noelle Clouser Dean and Thomas of Greenback, TN., and Karen Clouser Dachtyl and Frank of McKean, PA. Her beloved grandchildren, Jason Dean of Knoxville, TN., Holly Vile and husband Gerald of Stafford, VA., Amy McFadden and husband Charles of McKean, PA., Carrie Farkasovsky of McKean, PA., Frank Dachtyl and wife Cindy of McKean, PA., and Matthew Dachtyl and his fiancé, Lindsay Fritchman of Bethlehem, PA. Also to cherish the memory of their Grandma the Great, or GG as the children called her, she leaves two great-granddaughters and eleven great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Annabelle and Phil Haendler of Morrison, IL., and her special sister-in-law, Marge Clouser of Erie and Quincey, Florida. Also by several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwestern Pennsylvania, 1507 Grimm Dr., Erie, PA. 16501 or The Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, 922 Delaware Ave., Knoxville, TN. 37921. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Erie, PA.
