Janice Clarke

Janice Clarke, of Alcoa, TN passed away on November 29, 2015 at the age of 89. Janice was a soloist and choir member with the Knoxville Choral Society, Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and with Temple Bethel in Knoxville, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Clarke; parents, Curtis Woodward and Edith Shaw Thomason; and sister-in-law, June Woodward. She is survived by her brother, Doyle Woodward of New Smyrna Beach, FL; daughter, Susan E. Clarke of Alcoa, TN; daughter, Leslie Mull of Maryville, TN; son, Brent R. Clarke and wife Donna of Hardy, VA; and daughter Marsha York and husband Jeff of Glasgow, KY; grandchildren, Bryce McWhorter, Richard McWhorter, Julia York, Bryan York and wife Jessica, Laura Dooley and husband Jon, Brent Clarke and wife Elizabeth, and Aaron Clarke; six great-grandchildren and cousins, Martha Tyson and husband Ellis; David Jessup, and Brenda Chesser of Noblesville, IN; Dick Shaw of Sacramento, CA and Steve Shaw of Peoria, IL. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church.
