Jane Ann Simpson

Jane Ann Stone Simpson passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 after a journey of 89 years. Born in Bristol, TN on September 2, 1927, she was the daughter of Cecil Jerome Stone and wife Edna and was a graduate of King College in Bristol, TN with a major in music. She loved ballroom dancing and bridge. Throughout her life she demonstrated her love of Christ through helping people and always having a positive attitude and a joyful heart. She and her late husband Dr. Oscar Livingstone Simpson were active members of First United Methodist Church in Maryville since 1958 and particularly enjoyed visiting new members and families for the church. “Meemie” left a lasting impression with everyone she met and will be missed by the many people her life touched. She and her husband Oscar of 63 years were blessed with 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at First United Methodist Church Maryville with Rev. Catherine Nance officiating. Private graveside will be at Grandview Cemetery.
