James B. Vars age 53 of Maryville passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Peck's Memorial Church. Preceded in death by: Father, Belmont Vars. Survivors include: Wife of 35 years, Helen "Kay" Vars; Daughter and Son-in-law, Patricia & Jason Jones of Maryville; Grandchildren, Emily & Lauren Jones; Mother, Elizabeth Vars of Maryville; Brothers, Jackie Vars of Maryville and David Mize of Dandridge; Sister, Betty Vars Julian of New Jersey. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mack Turner and Rev. Robert Kuriakus officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
