James "Jamie" Matthew Vance age 34 of Friendsville, TN passed away unexpectedly at Tennova Hospital on Saturday, August 29, 2015. James was employed at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. He was a devoted family man! He loved his family very much especially his children and grandchildren, they meant the world to him! He also loved UT football and anything pertaining to muscle cars and racing. He was preceded in death by his mother: Cynthia Chittum Vance; paternal grandparents, James Roy & Kathryn Vance; infant son, Maximum Wayne Vance. Survivors include: wife, Jessica; daughters, Shelby, Jamie, Jessie Vance; daughters & sons-in-law, Alisha & Greg Akins, Ashlee & Gabe Emert; grandchildren, Brantley & Memphis Akins, Wyatt Turner, Adalynn Emert; father, Mark Vance; brothers, Mark Jr., Luke, Nick, Stevie Vance; sister & brother-in-law, Sayrah & Mike Ferguson; several nieces and nephews; special aunt & uncle, Cathy & "Uncle Bit" Hicks; special family friend, Dave Union; a host of other family and friends also survive. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral will be held immediately following at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM, Friday, September 4, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel to go in procession to Laurel Bank Baptist Church Cemetery for the 10:00 AM graveside service.
